Description:
Le Corbusier was quick to grasp the impact and promotional character of photography. In the course of his life, he used images in diverse ways: he saw travel as an opportunity to collect a wealth of extremely rich material which he used in his work.
Ultimately, he forget his image on the basis of the work of several famous photographers such as Fred Boissonnas, Lucien Hervé, René Burri. Photography therefore formed the logical basis for his architectural work as well as enabling him to construct his own image.
This delightful catalogue with a foreword by British architect Norman Foster is published at the occasion of the exhibition organised by Musée des Beaux-Arts de La Chaux-de-Fonds (Sep. 30, 2012 / Jan. 13, 2013), CIVA (Apr. 25 / Oct. 06, 2013) and Fondation Le Corbusier.
