In 1981, after the election of president Mitterrand, the French
government decided to freed the FM band which was only allocated to
state media and on December 14 1981, Carbone 14 start to broadcast on
97.2 Mhz.
Carbone 14, also known as "the radio active", became a place of free
speech, creative frenzy and touchy live shows.
Unfortunately, all freedom has an end and the police of the politicaly
correct arrived on August 17 1983 to dismantle the radio.
During a couple of days, Jean-François Gallote (aka david Grossexe)
filmed in 16mm the programs, the guests, the backstage of Carbone 14.
