Title: Le Poème de l'Angle Droit / Poem of the Right Angle
Authors: Le Corbusier
Publisher: Hatje Cantz
Year: 2012
ISBN: 9783775734707
Language: English, French

Description:
Between 1947 to 1953, Le Corbusier produced a succession of lithographs and poems that can be regarded as an artistic realization of his view of life, a new synthesis between architecture and plastic arts, influenced by the idea of the ineffability of space.
The works have been arranged in such a way that seven rows one upon the other result in a picture wall, an 'iconostasis'. Each row is dedicated to a specific topic, ranging from the environment via mental and physical elements to the right angle, with which the human being establishes his own order.
This great facsimile reproduces the written pages and drawings of the 1955 original edition and ends with an historic-critic essay by Juan Calatrava.
Le Poème de l'Angle Droit / Poem of the Right Angle is exhibited at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich until September 2-2012.
